Before and After

My parents got a new flat screen TV so they asked me if we wanted their old TV and cabinet. I of course said yes and they brought them both to our house this morning. This is the cabinet before, the doors had already been taken off and we had started to prime it but you get the picture. After priming, painting and distressing, we painted the hardware and got new knobs and this is the end product! I think it looks awesome! Now I just need to get some new throw pillows to bring in more of the blue into my living room.

It's not as light as it looks in the picture though, it looks more saturated that this. What do you guys think?

Pioneer Woman Day!

As you guys might know, I am kind of obsessed with Pioneer Woman. Well, today she made a stop on her book tour over at the cutest bookstore ever, Full Circle and I went to go meet her!Well, me and hundreds of other people. This is not even a good picture of how long that line was folks! It went all the way down and around the corner also. Dara and I stood in line from 5:30 -8:30 with all of our babies! That's commitment people!Because this is what Viv's face looked like most of the time! Thankfully, Matt came to the rescue and took her down to the restaurant to eat. What a guy!I met up with Melinda, a good friend and fellow blogger. We saw Pioneer Woman's entire family. The two female punks were even out there signing books. Marlboro man was there, all of her kids, her mom, grandma, sister, they were all there! Her girls were so adorable and sweet. And tall, very tall! Finally after three hours I got to her, she was great and we of course talked about Violet's hair, how she loves the name Vivian and a little about photography. Here we are, total best friends, she just doesn't know it yet!
And here's what she wrote:
It was worth the 3 hours in line!

Picture takin' fool!

I've been a busy girl lately with photoshoots and everything else in my life. I'm also in the middle of designing a new photography website. Hopefully I can get it up and running in the next week. In the meantime, head over to my photography blog to see my photoshoot with Erin at the Myriad Gardens! Add me to your link list if you like what you see! Here's a sneak peek:

Big Girl Haircut!

I decided today that I would take Viv in for her first big girl haircut with Anna. She loves Anna so I figured that she would do good and she did! She sad so still and was a pro!

Here's Viv telling Anna what look she wants. "Make me look like Suri Cruise please!" Anna gave her a sucker and that helped too.

Checking out the new do!

I couldn't believe how still she was! I fight her every day, just to get a brush through her hair and here she is getting it combed and cut and she sat as still as she could.
Anna did a great job!

Fall Carnival at church

Sunday night was the Fall Carnival at church and Viv and Vi's first time to attend! She had to get an updated picture of the "triplets" at almost 2 years old! They all lined up and stood really still for the pictures, it was a little odd. Viv looks like a giant!

And an updated pic of the mommas too! (I dont know why this is blue or underlined, but it won't not do that for some reason!) Butterfly Addi and Cowgirl Viv!
Viv also has a ladybug friend!
Nice attempt at a family picture!
Viv waiting in line for Trunk or Treat. After we left she finally said trick or treat, but not while we were actually doing it!

Impromptu photo shoot!

I loved Vi's polka dot dress this morning so after we got home from church we headed out to the backyard for a little photo shoot. She's getting so big! Isn't that the cutest dress? I'm sorry but I have no idea who got it for her, but thanks!

She loves being on her belly, she prefers it actually.
Check out those big blue eyes!
My little angel!
Pic of the girls in their costumes coming up soon!

Fun family weekend!

We spent a really fun weekend in Porter to celebrate my nephew Anderson's first birthday. It was great to see everyone all together and my brother finally got to meet Violet. She's a little bit concerned about his dog Daphne is this picture, I think she heard about her bad reputation!I also had a photo shoot in Muskogee that weekend and used my lovely sister Marcy for some test shots. It was gorgeous out in Honor Heights park that day! We took the whole family down to Livesay Orchard to go on the hay ride and go to the pumpkin patch. Here's my mom checking out the selection.

My dad, aka "Farmer Roy" drove the tractor of course!

And I did a fall photo shoot with Viv in the pumpkin patch. I just submitted this picture in the baby Gap photo contest.
Viv on the haystack doing one of my favorite faces! My sister got a pic of us in the pumpkin patch but Viv was all about not smiling right then of course!
My neice Sophie showing off the pumpkin she picked out. Isn't that the cutest smile ever??
Dad took the grandkids for a ride on the gator at the farm. All of them except for Vi that is!

Here's the star of the weekend, Anderson and his gorgeous mom Shelly. He had a great birthday party and got lots of new toys!
Mom and dad in their front yard, it's such a pretty place.

Me and Mar posing, dad took this and did a great job!
Me and ole pops.
Violet and her massive curls after her bath. She's such a doll!
Great weekend!

Scribbles and baby wigs

"Hello, my name is Violet, and this is my baby wig! You like it?" No, Viv wasn't trying out a new Pat Benetar makeup routine, that's just part of a red ink pen smeared under her eye. What was she doing with a red pen, you ask? Oh, just drawing all over the door I just painted! When I heard the scribbles I got up to see what was going on and she was so proud! She pointed to the door and said, "See!" Good thing I have some leftover white paint.
